Our Planting Schedule

Approximate Timeline:

The following timeline is an approximation and is weather dependent based on possible late April snow or rainy May days.

Late Winter/Early Spring: Start growing the marigolds from seeds.

Late April/Early May: Start prepping the curbs by removing weeds, cultivating the soil, and curbs by removing weeds, cultivating the soil, and replacing and adding compost to the soil as needed.

Late May/June: Let the planting begin!

Late June/Early July: Complete planting and start caring for flowers by watering and adding plant food.

Mid July: Some replanting is performed and weeding begins.

August - September: Stop and see the flowers!

October - November: Brr…it’s cold! Time to remove the flowers before the ground freezes.

After the marigolds are planted they need to be watered as needed.
