The following timeline is an approximation and is weather dependent based on possible late April snow or rainy May days.
Late Winter/Early Spring: Start growing the marigolds from seeds.
Late April/Early May: Start prepping the curbs by removing weeds, cultivating the soil, and curbs by removing weeds, cultivating the soil, and replacing and adding compost to the soil as needed.
Late May/June: Let the planting begin!
Late June/Early July: Complete planting and start caring for flowers by watering and adding plant food.
Mid July: Some replanting is performed and weeding begins.
August - September: Stop and see the flowers!
October - November: Brr…it’s cold! Time to remove the flowers before the ground freezes.
After the marigolds are planted they need to be watered as needed.
